Plein Air Show & Sale Opening Reception at the Old Stone Mill

5:00pm – 8:00pm – Open to the public
See what artists have chosen to paint around Keeseville in the days leading up to the festival! View 120 newly created works of art by 40 talented artists, showing the beautiful landscapes and architecture of Keeseville. Paintings are available for purchase from Friday’s opening reception through Saturday afternoon. Admission to the reception and a portion of artwork sale proceeds benefit the Keeseville Free Library.
A suggested donation of $15 at the door includes a limited-edition Keeseville Community Arts Festival glass and complimentary beverage from Ausable Brewing Company.

5K Color Run to benefit the Keeseville Free Library

Run begins at 9:00AM
Raku Workshop
Riverside Inn & Pottery Studio – 95 Ausable Street, Keeseville. Limited parking available
9:00am – 3:00pm
Raku is an old Japanese pottery technique that has been adapted to create blackened pottery with metallic and crackle glazes. Firing Raku pottery is an event to behold, it is a very smoky affair that has dramatic and unpredictable results. Participants can glaze a piece (created by a local artist) for FREE, as this year the cost for materials has been provided through a grant!
- 9:00am – 11:00am: Glaze a piece
- Pick up finished work by 3:00pm
- Potters can bring cone 5/6 bisqueware to glaze and fire
- Raku glazes will be available on site

Stop by Third Space Studios downtown for a FREE hands on ceramic activity. Children and adults can make their own trinket dishes using natural materials to create unique impressions and patterns. Pieces will be glazed and fired for folks to pick up in August.
